Information You Provide
Search Entries
When a name or location is entered into a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Dakota County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
If you email us or submit a contact message, we may retain the information you provide so we can respond. We do not share that message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Like most websites, our service providers may collect technical information when a page loads, including:

- request timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools help measure site use and support site functions. You can block or remove cookies through browser settings, though some features may work differently after they are disabled.
How We Use Information
- to operate, maintain, and improve the site;
- to pass a search entry to the relevant partner service;
- to understand which pages visitors find useful;
- to diagnose and correct performance or security problems; and
- to support advertising that may be based on interests.
External Sites and Services
Links on this site can lead to official custody rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, and third-party search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s terms and privacy policy govern its handling of information. Official-record access is also governed by Nebraska law, including Neb. Rev. We do not sell personal information. Information may nevertheless be received by the following categories of providers when needed for the purposes described above:
- search partners that handle a submitted query;

Security Practices
We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed, altered, or lost.

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor submitted information to us, please use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
